The web site  is coming along nicely. The signs are now ordered for the ID of trees that were planted last year by Tree USA and both the Kiwanis  Breakfast and Noon Rotary clubs. Also the several trees that were purchased by donations.

The signs will be attached to wooden posts and plaques and folks will be able to identify the  dozen different species of trees.

Last night was the first Jefferson County Garden Club mtg. and it was nice to see all the faces from last year.

Everyone is excited about getting started in their own gardens, but all  of us as a group will be finishing up  our very own garden that we have selected, created and designed and adopted.

If there are businesses, individuals or groups out there that would like to  create and adopt their own garden then let me know. The gardens will be kiosked by the group or individual so the visitors can see who did the work and creativity.

Another idea is creating a garden to memorialize someone. The person can have a little sign (kiosk)  put on the garden to depict the  memory for the individual.

One idea I had thought of was using a lot of flowers with the names like Forget- me -nots ,Love lies bleeding etc....You get the idea...or the favorite plants of the individual.

Another idea was to have a garden for breast cancer survivors/and ones that lost the fight...all done in pink....and have people have their names on little signs tucked away in the garden.....

There are many ideas that can be done. The garden can be smaller or larger, it all depends if you want to create it as a group or singly. The end product will be for all to see in the community and will bring color and depth to the place.

There are so  many ways  that creative people  can  do to work in solar lights, garden junk, gazing balls, rocks, split rail fencing etc. and of course perennials , colorful annuals and bulbs.

Also Adopt A Plot will be coming up again in June and if anyone is interested in adopting and caring for a plot let me know ...in case you want to get started early.

Well, it's time for me to go.....until next time.......May all your weeds be wildflowers!
